BREAKING: Arrest warrant leads to standoff in Abbeville, authorities say

VERMILION PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- A standoff is underway in Abbeville after the U.S. Marshal's Office attempted to serve an arrest warrant Wednesday, authorities said.
The U.S. Marshal's Office attempted to serve a warrant around 2 p.m. at a home on Schlessinger Street, near the corner of Maude Avenue, authorities said.
The suspect allegedly barricaded themselves inside the home.
The Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office and the Abbeville Police Department is assisting the U.S. Marshal's Office.
