Mum-of-22 Sue Radford reveals how she keeps track of her brood on Florida break – but she’s still doing ‘headcounts’ too
WITH 22 children, Sue Radford could be forgiven for losing sight of all of them every now and then.
And in somewhere like Disney World in Florida – where the family are currently holidaying – that can end up being a stressful situation for everyone.
Sue Radford has revealed how she’s keeping track on her kids during their Florida holiday[/caption] They splashed out on Apple AirTags for their kids, but Sue is constantly doing headcounts too[/caption] It’s the family’s third trip to Florida in the last 12 months[/caption]So the clever matriarch has come up with a way of keeping tabs on all her kids wherever they are.
Sue took to Instagram to share more pictures of the family’s holiday, as well as revealing her nifty hack.
Sharing a snap of an Apple AirTag attached to one of her son’s T-shirts, Sue wrote: “Have these on all the kids and still constantly doing a headcount, but have seen so many other kids wearing them too.”
Further explaining in another post on her Instagram Stories, Sue added: “All of you asking what these are – they are Apple AirTags.
“You can get them from Amazon and the cases too.
“You can set an alert for how far you are away from them before they alert you.
“So if one of the children are walking a bit behind you, it sends an alert.”
The tags don’t come cheap though – costing £94 for four on Amazon.
That means Sue would have had to get six packs of the tags – setting the family back £594 – if she’d bought them for all 22 of her kids.
In an interview on Loose Woman earlier this year, Sue explained: “If you’re walking at the front, the kids are in the middle bit and I’m walking behind just to make sure that all of them are there in front of us.
“But we found on holiday that Apple AirTags are really good because we can tie them to their clothes.”
As husband Noel added: “The older ones are in like a WhatsApp group or whatever you call it so everyone knows where they are.
“But the little ones you’re frightened of losing in a crowd.”
Sue has been sharing regular pictures from Florida on their holiday, which is the third time they’ve visited the Sunshine State in the past 12 months.
As well as going to Disney World, the Radfords also headed to the Universal Studios – with Sue revealing in a post on Instagram that the outing was actually gifted by the company.
The Radford Family's TV history
THE first ever episode of 22 Kids and Counting aired on Channel 5 on 22nd February, 2021.
After the first series – which had just four episodes in it – performed well, Channel 5 commissioned a 10-episode second season, which was broadcast in 2022.
They went on to commission a third series, which included a Christmas special aired in December 2023.
The fourth season began airing in January 2024, but fans were left disappointed when it stopped after six episodes.
Sue and Noel reassured viewers that they were just taking a little break, and the next episode will be airing on 21st July.
