Centre wants states and industry associations to play a bigger role in revamp of ITIs and skills training

The government is heavily investing in a new scheme to upgrade industrial training institutes (ITIs), announced in the Union Budget 2024-25, with a total funding of Rs 60,000 crore over five years. The initiative aims to enhance skills training for two million youths through 1,000 revamped ITIs.
