Bruno Fernandes hailed as ‘definition of a captain’ for message he sent outgoing Man Utd star Facundo Pellistri
BRUNO FERNANDES was hailed by fans for his message to Facundo Pellistri after the youngster’s departure from Manchester United.
The Uruguay international, 22, has left Old Trafford to join Greek side Panathinaikos after four years with the Red Devils.
And Fernandes paid tribute to the forward following his departure with a kind message.
Speaking on Instagram, he said: “Hermanito [it] was a pleasure to meet you and play alongside you .
“If is there someone that deserves everything good in a football career [it] is you! An example of professionalism and humility
“Big things are coming to you soon I’m pretty sure .”
In response, Pellistri replied: “The pleasure was mine to share and play with you!
“What a player and the most important thing, what a guy.
“Thank you for always being behind me and behind every player in this club, you are the definition of CAPTAIN! ”
Reacting to Fernandes’ initial message, one fan said: “Great leader.”

Pellistri did not score in any of his 25 appearances for Man Utd but did contribute two assists.
He had two loan spells at Alaves and another at Granada but has now finally secured a permanent move away.
