WATCH: CISF Officer’s Prompt Action Saves Life Of Srinagar-Bound Passenger At Delhi Airport
A CISF officer’s quick thinking saved the life of a Srinagar-bound passenger after the later collapsed at the Delhi Airport. According to a CISF spokesperson, a passenger, Arshid Ayoub, who was set to board an IndiGo flight to Srinagar, suddenly collapsed at the forecourt of the airport’s terminal 2 at around 11 AM on Tuesday morning (August 20).
Upon witnessing this, a two-member CISF team quickly sprung into action and one of them performed a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedure on the passenger, thus saving his life, a video of the incident shared by CISF, showed.
CPR is an emergency life-saving procedure that is performed when the heart stops beating.

“The passenger, scheduled to travel to Srinagar on an Indigo flight, collapsed near the hand trolley stand. A two-member quick reaction team (QRT) of the CISF saw the passenger collapsing and one of them immediately performed CPR on him,” the spokesperson said.
Later, the passenger was rushed to the Safdarjung Hospital for further treatment, he added.
“A precious life was saved due to alertness and prompt action by the CISF personnel,” the official said.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is tasked to provide a counter-terrorist security cover to the IGI airport.
