SB19, BINI to receive special award at Billboard Korea’s ‘K Power 100’ event
MANILA, Philippines – P-pop groups SB19 and BINI are set to receive the Voices Of Asia Award from Billboard Korea during its “Billboard K POWER 100” event in Seoul, South Korea, on August 27.
Billboard Philippines confirmed the news in a report on Friday, August 23. The Voices Of Asia Award will “honor their groundbreaking contributions to Filipino music and their unwavering championing of P-pop on the global stage.”
BINI and SB19 will also attend the event and perform their hit singles “Cherry On Top” and “GENTO,” respectively.
The “Billboard K POWER 100” event is the Korean iteration of the music publication’s annual “Power 100,” which is an annual list and event that celebrates the top names in the global music industry.
The “K POWER” event will also mark the launch of Billboard’s Korean edition.

SB19, consisting of Ken, Justin, Josh, Pablo, and Stell, became the first Filipino and Southeast Asian group to receive a nomination for Top Social Artist at the Billboard Music Awards in 2021. Their song “GENTO” also charted in Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales back in June 2023.
BINI, consisting of Jhoanna, Maloi, Stacey, Aiah, Colet, Gwen, Mikha, and Sheena, is dubbed as the “Nation’s Girl Group” after they rose to fame with “Pantropiko” and “Salamin, Salamin.” The group is also set to perform their highly anticipated Grand BINIVERSE concert at the Araneta Coliseum on November 16 and 17.
