Ella Forster’s fate in Emmerdale revealed after she was forced to leave village following vicious assault
EMMERDALE has revealed Ella Forster’s fate after assaulting Wendy Posner.
Ella – played by Paula Lane – violently lashed out at the nurse in dramatic scenes aired on Thursday (August 22).
She was driven away bypolice and locked up, potentially facing a stint behind bars.
In tonight’s episode, viewers saw Ella being questioned as officers tried to determine her motivation for the assault.
Her former love interest Liam (Jonny McPherson) hired a solicitor, who was later dismissed by Ella.
In the end, she was released after Wendy (Susan Cookson) agreed to drop the charges.
As Ella returned to the village, Liam was surprised to see her.
He remarked: “We were just talking about you. I didn’t think they’d let you out.”
Mandy (Lisa Riley), who was also present, asked Ella if she was charged, to which Ella confirmed she hadn’t been.
Liam recognised Ella needed a place to get back on her feet and invited her to move back in with him – as a friend.
Although initially reluctant, Mandy convinced her to accept the offer.
While Ella was in custody, Liam and Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) visited Wendy, pleading with her to drop the complaint.
Wendy wouldn’t budge, saying there’d been enough chances and she’d tried being a friend to Ella.
The unprovoked assault came after Ella had an unexpected run-in with Gary, a relative of Joanna, the girl she murdered at just 11 years old.
Gary tracked her down to The Woolpack after photos of Ella in the village appeared online.
After confronting Ella at her birthday party, Gary chased her through the village before Wendy intervened.
Offering a shoulder to cry on, Wendy took her inside the surgery and attempted to provide comfort.
Shockingly, Ella whacked Wendy around the face, sending her flying into the back wall of the surgery.
Wendy’s nose bled as a menacing Ella angrily said: “You think you know me?”
In tonight’s episode, Liam bumped into Wendy in The Woolpack.
