Summer Streets to close roads in Brooklyn and the Bronx

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Summer Streets, a free event that promotes healthy lifestyles and inclusivity within the cycling community, is heading to Brooklyn and the Bronx on Saturday.

The event will run from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Individuals can enjoy free day passes for unlimited 30-minute rides on a classic Citi Bike. Free passes can be redeemed with promo code CITISUMMER24 on the "Daypass" tab of the Citi Bike app.

The following roads will be closed for Summer Streets.

Brooklyn

Locations/Route:

• Eastern Parkway (Main & Service Roads) between Plaza Street East and Buffalo Avenue

Rest Stops:

Lincoln Terrace Rest Stop, Eastern Parkway and Buffalo Avenue

Classon Avenue Rest Stop, Eastern Parkway, and Classon Avenue

Bronx

Locations/Route:

Grand Concourse (Main Roadway) between East Tremont Avenue and East Mosholu Parkway

Rest Stops:

Grand Concourse (Service Road North Bound) between East 192nd Street –East Kingsbridge Road

Grand Concourse (Service Road North Bound) between East Mosholu Parkway South Van Cortlandt Avenue East
