Pakistani politician urges dialogue between Islamabad and Kabul
Chief of Pakistan’s Jamaat-i-Islami political party, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, called for dialogue between Pakistan and Afghanistan on Friday.
He believes that meaningful discussions are essential to improving their strained relations.
Naeemur Rehman emphasized that the Afghan Taliban must ensure its territory is not used for militant attacks against Pakistan.
He stressed the importance of keeping the door open for talks between the two countries. According to him, the deterioration in relations is due to the actions of a few leaders, not the general population, which has supported each other for nearly 45 years.
Naeemur Rehman described the current situation as sensitive and said that constructive dialogue could help resolve the issues.
He reiterated that only through meaningful talks could the challenges between the two nations be addressed effectively.
Increased tensions between Kabul and Islamabad have recently escalated, with both sides accusing each other of failing to prevent militant activities.
These rising tensions highlight the urgent need for diplomatic engagement to de-escalate conflicts and foster better relations between the two neighboring countries.
