Confirmed Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Brighton, Garnacho and Zirkzee decision made
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has named his starting line-up for today’s Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion on the road.
The Red Devils registered a 1-0 win over Fulham in the curtain-raiser last week. They have the chance to return to the top of the table by beating the Seagulls at the Amex Stadium.
United won 2-0 at Brighton back in May, but that remains their only league victory in the last five meetings. The Red Devils have to play at their best to beat the South Coast outfit.
Ahead of the encounter, Ten Hag has named an unchanged XI. Andre Onana continues in goal. He has been ever-present in the league since his arrival from Inter last summer.
Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot will occupy the right and left-back positions respectively. Harry Maguire has got the nod over Matthijs de Ligt to partner Lisandro Martinez in central defence.
Casemiro had a good outing in the season opener. The Brazilian keeps his place alongside Kobbie Mainoo in central midfield. He has to improve on his control, having lost possession 14 times last week.
Further forward, Amad Diallo and Marcus Rashford will start on the right and left wing respectively with Mason Mount continuing from the number 10 position for the second straight game.
Bruno Fernandes looks set to operate as the false number nine. Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee combined for the winner against Fulham, but both start from the bench once more.
Confirmed Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Brighton: Onana; Mazraoui, Maguire, Martinez, Dalot; Casemiro, Mainoo; Amad, Mount, Rashford; Fernandes.
