German federal prosecutors on Sunday took over the investigation of a stabbing rampage during a festival in thewestern city of Solingen that killed three people. The Islamic State (IS) group has taken responsibility for the attack. The claim could not be independently verified. A 26-year-old Syrian man turned himself in and declared himself responsible for the attack, German police said earlier Sunday.
