Union home minister Amit Shah inaugurated a new NCB zonal office in Raipur, announcing plans for NCB offices in every state to combat drug trafficking. Shah stressed the importance of a serious and comprehensive strategy to fight the drug trade. He highlighted a 230% increase in registered narcotics cases from 2004 to 2024.
