The Ministry of Home Affairs established five new districts in the union territory, as announced by Union Minister Amit Shah. The districts, named Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra, and Changthang, are intended to improve public service delivery and governance. This initiative is part of the government's commitment to developing Ladakh.
