The Udupi police confirmed that the survivor's blood tested positive for narcotics in the Karkala kidnap and rape case. Suspects Altaf and Xavier Richard's tests were negative. Altaf alleged the survivor used drugs found in the car. A separate case was registered, and the police are investigating the drug's source.
