BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry is expected to sign an executive order about election integrity at a Monday morning news conference.
On Monday, Aug. 26, Landry, Secretary of State Nancy Landry and Attorney General Liz Murrill are expected to attend the news conference at the Louisiana State Capitol. According to the governor's office, Landry "will sign an executive order to maintain integrity in the electoral process and protect the accuracy of our voter rolls."
Murrill posted on X, formerly known as Twitter last week, "No one who is in our country illegally should be able to vote. Period. It’s NOT controversial to ask for proof of citizenship to register to vote and participate in our sacred elections."
