FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Monday Evening,

It has been a very warm day today, with highs back in the lower to middle 90s across the area, but with fair humidity today. We will see skies clearing tonight, with lows warmer, near 70. We will see more hazy sunshine on Tuesday, with some scattered clouds, and high temps topping into the upper 90s. Heat index values will top around 100-102, so we do have a heat advisory in effect for Tuesday afternoon thru Wednesday evening.

Wednesday will be another hot & humid day. One this we will have to watch closely for, is the possibility of a complex of storms that will try to develop and dive south into the area for Wednesday morning. If this feature could hold together, it would keep our temps down a bit on Wednesday. It is more likely this feature will not hold together before it moves into Central Ohio.

If that is the case, then Wednesday should end up being the hottest day of the week with heat and humidity combined. We will have temps again in the mid to upper 90s, with even more humidity, pushing heat index values into the lower triple digits. By Wednesday late, we will have some scattered showers and storms possible with highs. With such heat & humidity expected, we could have some gusty wind storms late on Wednesday.

Thursday we will have a bit of a lull as we will be between systems, it will still be hot, with highs in the low to mid 90s. Can't rule out a stray pop-up late day on Thursday as well. Friday, a stronger system will approach, the first of two weekend cold fronts. This one will bring clouds and rain and storm chances late day on Friday with highs in the low to mid 90s. Rain and storms could impact some of the FFN week 2 games.

Saturday will have rain chances ending early, with mixed clouds, and still warm conditions with highs in the upper 80s. A second, mainly dry cold front will slide through late on Sunday. Ahead of the front, we will be mainly sunny, with highs int he mid to upper 80s. The front will bring a few clouds, but open the doors for cooler high pressure to return for Labor Day Monday.

Highs on Monday will only top in the lower 80s. or normal for early September.
