Details of the decline were disclosed in the recently released 'Annual Report on Registration of Births and Deaths in Delhi-2023' by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics. Despite the decline in the sex ratio, the birth rate in Delhi improved from 14.24 per thousand in 2022 to 14.66 in 2023. The death rate also saw a slight increase from 6.07 to 6.16 during the same period.
