Mohammed Siraj, Umran Malik and Ravindra Jadeja out of Duleep Trophy squads, replacements announced
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a few couple replacements for the first round of the soon-to-come Duleep Trophy 2025. Navdeep Saini will be replacing Mohammed Siraj as he is not well.
Umran Malik is still about to regain his full potential recovering from dengue and will be replaced by Gaurav Yadav. Apart from all that, Ravindra Jadeja is taken out from Team B squad.
The last appearance from Saini in Test cricket was in the 2021-22 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He was taken as a bowler and happened to get a chance to play as a replacement.
Gaurav, who scores for Puducherry, has taken 141 wickets in 37 games averaging at 24.02.
Ravindra Jadeja is out of play since he has retired from T20Is after India won the T20 World Cup. he was put to rest during the ODI series against Sri Lanka as well.
M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is the other venue that has been added to the list of venues for the tournament. The other venue is Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.
