Trump going 'crazy' as Kamala Harris replaces him as 'hot item': James Carville
Democratic strategist James Carville this week reveled in the impact that Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign is having on former President Donald Trump's mental state.
Speaking with The New Republic's Greg Sargent, Carville mused that the MAGA attack machine that successfully hurt Hillary Clinton back in 2016 doesn't seem to be nearly as sharp as it once was.
"His normal stuff doesn't resonate like it used to," he argued. "We're accustomed to it being effective and it just doesn't have the same ring now. It's a stale act!"
Later in the podcast, Carville suggested that Trump was flat-out jealous of the large crowds that Harris has been drawing at her campaign rallies.

"[Trump] has sharp survival instincts," said Carville. "And he knows that he's not having the same effect that he used to. He knows that Harris has become what he's always wanted to be, kind of the hot item. He's not the new kid on the block anymore and he's struggling to regain that... and it's driving him crazy."
Sargent then asked Carville if Trump knows he's in trouble.
"He is," Carville replied. "And he's aware."
