Preview: Celtic (A)
Hibs Women head back into action on Friday (30 August), taking on Celtic away from home in the SWPL. Read our Match Preview below for full details!
THE LOWDOWN
The Hibees will travel to the Albert Bartlett Stadium as we look to continue our positive start to the league season.
We come into this fixture in red-hot form, picking up maximum points in all four of our league matches thus far.
In our previous match against Motherwell at K-Park, a first Hibernian hat-trick for Kathleen McGovern helped us romp to a 5-0 victory.
Erin Clachers kept a clean sheet in goal on her Hibs debut, while Kirsty Morrison returned from injury to feature off the bench.
Four wins from four means Hibs are joint-top of the SWPL table - level on points with Rangers and ahead of Friday night's opponents on goal difference.
THE HOSTS
Celtic have also started the season strongly, picking up maximum points from all of their league matches this season.
On the opening day, Elena Sadiku’s team dismantled Dundee United 9-0 at Celtic Park before picking up further wins against Glasgow City (1-0) and Motherwell (5-1).
In their last match, four different goalscorers guided Celtic to a 4-0 away win over Aberdeen.
This fixture proved to be a tough test for Hibs last season, with the eventual league champions winning all four meetings.
