Police foil attempt to send drugs to detainee

Drugs and mobile telephony cards, intended for a person in police custody, were confiscated on Tuesday and a 33-year-old woman was arrested.

At around 1.40pm on Tuesday, a 33-year-old woman visited the police station in Aradippou with food and other products for a detainee.

Police searched the items and found one gramme of methamphetamine in a shampoo bottle, as well as five SIM cards.

The 33-year-old was arrested, questioned and released to be summoned later, pending the results of tests on the evidence.
