Sushi, seafood buffet sets opening date in Colonie
COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- UMI Hot Pot Sushi & Seafood Buffet is getting ready to open in Colonie. The restaurant, located at 1614 Central Avenue, is set to open on Saturday, August 31.
This UMI franchise location is opening in the former 9 Spices Indian Cuisine & Bar space. Franchise owner Larry Weng also owns Union Seafood in Albany, Schenectady, and Troy, as well as Ji Bei Chuan Rice Noodles & Ramen in Guilderland.
The all-you-can-eat buffet includes seafood, sushi, ramen, hibachi, streak, ribs, desserts, and more. Specific seafood options include grilled lobster, snow crab, oysters, clams, jumbo shrimp, prawns, mussels, cod, flounder, and salmon.
UMI will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The restaurant chain has other locations in Queens Village and Brooklyn in New York, as well as in Florida, Delaware, New Jersey, and Maine.
