One wrote: “Whitey has stated at least a few times he would be in. I sure hope so. 100% deserved.”
Another added: “Alan, call Liam. Oasis can’t be without your drum beats!”
While a third penned: “MATE YOU GOTTA BE THE DRUMMER FOR THE REUNION, YOU’RE THE BEST.”
A fourth fan wrote: “Please say you are playing drums for Oasis.”
Alan joined Oasis after the removal of original drummer Tony McCarroll.
Paul Weller noticed Alan’s talent and recommended him to Noel Gallagher.
Altogether, he became the band’s longest-serving drummer with almost a decade spent in the group.
During his tenure, Alan contributed to four studio albums, one live album and a B-side compilation.
The now-52-year-old left the group under somewhat mysterious circumstances in early 2004.
He was replaced as drummer by Zak Starkey, son of legendary Beatles drummer Sir Ringo Starr.
In 1997, Alan married American actress and model Liz Carey.
The couple met during the filming of the Don’t Look Back in Anger music video.
However, they ultimately divorced in 2004.
