Bangladesh's interim government, led by Muhammad Yunus, has released extremist leaders allegedly influenced by the Jamaat-e-Islami group. Among those freed is Jashimuddin Rahmani, chief of the Ansarullah Bangla Team. The Jamaat is also said to have influenced the prior release of Brigadier General Abdullahil Aman Azmi and lawyer Ahmad Bin Quasem.
