Harris and Trump crisscross the country to win voters

WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) - With Election Day 68 days away, both campaigns are crisscrossing the country to win over voters in key battleground states. Vice President Kamala Harris is on a bus tour in Georgia, a state President Biden narrowly won in 2020, while former president Donald Trump will be in the blue wall states of Michigan and Wisconsin.

Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz are working to shore up support in the Peach State even among the youngest of voters. The Democratic ticket is trying to make inroads in a state where President Biden won last election, but Decision Desk HQ and The Hill polling shows former president Trump has an edge.  They're also trying to get support from unions.

"We'll have your back like you've had ours,” said Walz.

Governor Walz told firefighters in Boston that he and Harris would be better for workers than his opponents.

"The only thing these guys know about working people is how to take advantage of them,” said Walz.

In the swing state of Pennsylvania, Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance told voters a Harris presidency would be bad for the economy.

"Kamala Harris's policies mean less energy, less money in people's pockets and a lot of people freezing on a cold winter night it's disgraceful,” said Vance.

Former president Donald Trump will speak in Michigan Thursday, where he's expected to speak on the economy, inflation and manufacturing. A recent poll from Decision Desk HQ and The Hill predicts Harris has a 55% chance of winning the presidency.
