Widespread Heavy Storms Likely Later Today

Isolated showers are ending across Acadiana this Thursday morning as we start the day warm, humid, and cloudy. Heavy storms become widespread during the afternoon today as rain chances increase to 80% across the area. Severe weather is not expected but there is a low flash flooding threat that we will watch closely. Highs today will try to push into the upper 80s, quickly followed by rain-cooled air.
This stormy pattern will last through the Labor Day Weekend.
