“I am grateful to each gymnast who shared their story with me." In 1996 Theresa Kulikowski was (very unceremoniously) named as an alternate to the Women’s Olympic gymnastics team. While the accomplishment is and remains incredible, she was, in so many ways, the forgotten player the moment the team was marched out on the floor at the Olympic Trials, their tickets to the Games punched.
