AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 34-year-old woman was found dead Wednesday from a suspected overdose, according to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office.

WCSO said the Williamson County Organized Crime Unit responded to the call, which was near the 16000 block of Terrace Drive in Austin.

During a search, detectives found a variety of illegal substances, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, LSD, Xanax and psilocybin mushrooms, according to WCSO.

“These substances pose a severe threat to public health and safety,” the office said.

WCSO said the incident was the second overdose death in the county this week, and it was actively investigating to gather more information.

“We strongly urge members of the community to assist in our efforts to combat narcotics trafficking and prevent further loss of life,” WCSO said.

Anyone with information related to this case or other criminal activities was asked to contact WCSO’s tip line at 512-943-1170 or via email at drug-humantraffickinginfo@wilco.org.

“The Williamson County Sheriff's Office remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends affected by this devastating loss,” the office said.
