Duke Trio On Tour In China For Jordan Brand
This is fun for Blue Devil fans. UNC fans? Not so much.
When you get down to it, on one level businessman Michael Jordan is probably very happy to have Zion Williamson, Jayson Tatum and Paolo Banchero representing Jordan Brand. But scratch the businessman or catch him in an unguarded moment, and he would probably admit that he’d prefer to have former Tar Heels working for Jumpman cash, but the truth is that it’s been a while since an imposing Tar Heel came into the NBA.
Currently, we believe these are the only Tar Heels in the NBA: Cole Anthony, Harrison Barnes, Cameron Johnson, Walker Kessler, Day’Ron Sharpe and Kobe White. Some of them are admirable players but we’re a long way from the days when Jordan, James Worthy, Sam Perkins, Kenny Smith and Brad Daugherty roamed NBA courts.
Williamson, Tatum and Banchero are currently on tour in China for Nike, where they’re meeting fans and putting on exhibitions.
Luka Doncic is also with them.
It says a lot that 75 percent of the guys on the Nike tour are members of the Brotherhood.
Bottom line is that the trio will make a lot of money for Nike and that’s something that will make Jordan, Nike and the former Blue Devils very happy.
