Amsterdam man sentenced to nearly 8 years in prison
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Angelo Dalmau, 54, of Amsterdam, was sentenced to seven years and nine months in prison on Thursday. He will also serve a three-year term of probation, all following his guilty plea for drug, money laundering, and gun offenses.
Police recovered 100 grams of cocaine, $191,843 in cash, a pistol and ammunition, and drug paraphernalia when they searched Dalmau’s home on Sunday, April 14. Dalmau admitted selling 250 grams of cocaine on five separate occasions and trafficking $149,500 from drug sales to be laundered by another person.
