LOVE Is Blind UK Star Freddie has slammed Sam saying he ‘stopped someone else finding love’ on the Netflix show.
In an exclusive chat with The Sun, the funeral director reflected on his experience on the show and the connections he made.
When questioned about the backlash Sam has faced since the series aired, he said: “I don’t hold any grudges against anyone, but obviously, the situation wasn’t great, especially what happened with Benaiah and Nicole.
“Obviously I love them both like Ben’s my best friend, and he [Sam] should be more mindful because there’s a lot we haven’t seen and a lot off-camera that doesn’t align with my values and things that I’ve seen.
“So I don’t believe he was there for real reasons, and I think that he has probably deprived someone of an opportunity.
“You know somebody who was willing to kind of meet somebody and and find a partner, so that was very disappointing.
“But I don’t want to see him get hate. I don’t want to see anyone get hate, so it’s not nice.
“The only thing I would say is I don’t think it’s fair for him to mock the situation because those are real feelings and emotions like Nick went through a lot, and so did Benaiah.
“I don’t think it’s fair that he’s continuing to kind of like mock the situation. I think it’s just best to apologise and just move on.”
It comes after Sam made a shock appearance at the show’s reunion last week and issued an apology to his ex Nicole.
The pair had been briefly engaged, but their connection didn’t last.
Nicole instead went on to marry Benaiah Grunewald Brydie and at the reunion they confirmed they were still together.
Following a nudge from fellow contestant Demi Brown, Sam issued an apology to his former fiancee for his past comments.
Nicole told him: “When you said I was trying to sleep with you and turned me down, that was really hurtful – and a lie.”
Sam responded: “I do apologise, I really do. I really hope we can move forward through this.”
At the reunion, Sam also admitted the past few weeks had “not been easy” since the show began airing.
He shared “I have to be real. I went to do a love show to try to find the future wife of my life.
“The last few weeks of my life have not been great.
“It’s been quite a lot of backlash and it’s been a lot for anyone to handle.
“But, I would say it’s made me a lot stronger, I’ve learned a lot about myself.
“I’ve learned that I can handle anything now.”
