Licking County man dead after deputies respond to domestic incident
ALEXANDRIA, Ohio (WCMH) – A Licking County man is dead after deputies responded to a domestic incident Friday morning.
According to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to several reports of an active domestic situation in the 4000 block of Northridge Road, north of Alexandria, Ohio, near St. Albans golf course. The sheriff's office said multiple callers indicated that a man was attempting to stab and kill a woman. Deputies arrived to find a home was set on fire and they entered the home to encounter the man.
The sheriff’s office did not indicate how the man died but reported the incident as an officer-involved shooting. The male suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have not yet released the suspect’s name as the Bureau of Criminal Investigation continues to process the active scene.
