Afghanistan and Turkmenistan discuss major infrastructure projects
Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Hedayatullah Badri visited Turkmenistan and met with top officials, including the Foreign Minister, Oil and Gas Minister, and heads of major projects.
Badri discussed TAPI, TAP, railway lines, optical fiber, oil, gas, and trade deals with Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister.
He also shared views on oil, gas, and the TAPI project with relevant Turkmen officials.
The Turkmen Minister of Industry showed interest in iron mining. Badri proposed a joint mining complex in Herat and promised full cooperation.
During his meeting with Turkmenistan’s railway chief, Badri emphasized the need for rail development to Herat and Mazar-e-Sharif.
He highlighted that these projects benefit both Afghanistan and neighboring countries, promoting regional stability.
Investment in these projects is crucial for addressing Afghanistan’s humanitarian crisis. Improved infrastructure and economic growth can help stabilize the country and offer long-term benefits to the region.
