WATCH: Man Violently Flung In Air After Speeding Car Rams Him In Maharashtra’s Kolhapur

Kolhapur Accident: A shocking hit-and-run case was caught on CCTV in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra showing a man being violently flung several feet in the air after a speeding car rammed him on a busy road.

The CCTV clip, which has been widely shared on social media platforms, showed the victim, identified as 24-year-old Rohit Sakharam Happe, being hit by a speeding car from behind and thrown several feet in the air due to the impact of the collision as the car sped away from the scene of the accident.

According to the police, the incident happened on August 28 (Wednesday) when Rohit was on his way home from work during late evening hours. The victim sustained grievous injuries on his legs and head in the hit-and-run, and was rushed to a hospital for medical attention where his condition is stated to be stable, they said.

A senior police officer said they have registered a case against the unidentified driver and CCTV cameras in the area are being scanned to identify and track down the vehicle and its driver.

Further investigation in the case is ongoing, he said.
