Duke Recruiting: Boozer Twins In Town!
As the battle for their services might be in the home stretch
You may have heard that the Boozer twins, Cameron and Cayden, are on an unofficial to Duke this weekend.
The twin sons of Duke legend, Cameron is a 6-9 forward while Cayden is a 6-4 guard. Cameron is more highly regarded currently but Cayden is a Top 25 point guard and he’s really, really smart. To watch him is to love him.
They say they’re not necessarily going to go to school together but in a way that would be a shame. They have great chemistry and how often do you see twins who are highly rated with such different skill sets?
They’re on campus this weekend as a number of Brotherhood members are back in town, including Mark Willams, Jahlil Okafor, Jared McCain, Vernon Carey, Trevor Keels, DJ Steward, Dereck Lively and Theo John.
No doubt they’ve heard stories from their old man about what things are like at Duke and the 2001 national championship, but hearing it from other guys means they’ll get some very different perspectives and possibly some NBA tutelage as well.
It looks like they might be down to Duke, Miami and Florida, although it’s not clear if that means they’re going together or separately.
Obviously NIL is going to be a factor, but given Duke’s iconic position and the TV power of Cameron, players who choose Duke open up possibilities that other schools struggle to match.
All that said, both Boozers have made clear that they will choose the schools that are best for them. We hope it’s Duke, but we’ll follow those guys if they choose elsewhere as honorary second generation members of the Brotherhood.
