Ben Affleck Is Allegedly Conflicted Over How Jennifer Lopez Is Treating His Children

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are at odds with one another amid their divorce, and while many thought everyone was fine in their co-parenting world; it’s allegedly nothing as what it seems. Insiders have not only alleged that Affleck hasn’t been in touch with Lopez’s kids, but apparently, he’s no longer thrilled about how Lopez is treating his kids.

Insiders recently alleged to InTouch Weekly that Lopez has continued to shower Affleck’s kids with affection, gifts, and more; but Affleck isn’t too happy about it.

“They have always had vastly different styles of parenting. Ben spoils them from time to time and gives them their favorite treats, but J. Lo really showers them with gifts like nobody’s business,” the insider said to the outlet. “She’s very much a Disneyland stepmom. She’s always picking up treats for them, she always seems to know just what will make them happy and gets a real kick out of making them smile.”

They added, “She’s showing a lot of class, and it’s gone a long way to softening him towards her…[But] that’s just not the way he wants to raise them long term. It’s OK right now while they’re going through this tough time, but the last thing he wants is to raise spoiled kids so it’s a little tough.”

So, basically, from what insiders are claiming: Lopez has continued to spoil her children and soon-to-be-e-stepchildren, but Affleck is worried his kids will become too spoiled and expect that treatment all the time.

Weeks earlier, sources claimed Affleck had no qualms whatsoever about Lopez’s parenting towards his kids, but something has seemingly drastically changed.

For those who don’t know, Garner and Affleck welcomed three children, and Lopez was their stepmother. Their kids are named Violet, born on Dec 2005, Seraphina born on Jan 2009, 15, and Samuel, born on Feb 2012. As for Lopez, she is the mother to twins Emme and Max, born in Feb 2008, with whom she welcomed with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Affleck and Lopez’s romance started on the set of the film Gigli. They appeared in a couple more projects together, and got engaged by the end of 2002, per People. In 2003, they postponed their wedding and then broke up days before. Fast forward to 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony. After months of speculation, per TMZ, Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20, noting the date of separation is April 26, 2024.
