While the 2024 Paralympics are in full swing in Paris, athletes are lighting an Olympic torch of their own in Syria. For the first time, a local NGO is organising a sports tournament for more than 300 people with disabilities in Idlib. The athletes will compete across various disciplines including football, weightlifting, volleyball and swimming.
