NY hot dog champ Chestnut breaks world record in Netflix eating competition
NEW YORK (PIX11) – Joey Chestnut has proven, once again, that there could only be one winner in the ultimate hot dog-eating face-off.
He took on his No. 1 rival, Japan's Takeru Kobayashi, in Las Vegas for Netflix's "Chestnut versus Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef."
A $100,000 grand prize was at stake, along with the title of "greatest of all time."
Chestnut broke his own world record by consuming 83 hot dogs in 10 minutes. He previously held the record with 76 hot dogs eaten during Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest in 2021.
Kobayashi trailed in comparison, only scarfing down 66 hot dogs.
