I was so disappointed when they changed my favorite Glossier product – I found a dupe for the original that’s $11 less
A WOMAN needed space from her favorite Glossier brand find after finding out that it was no longer the same cream she thought it was.
It wasn’t going to be easy, but she knew she was going to have to break up with the beauty buy, for her skin’s sake.

Redditor Wwbwd212 was not pleased upon hearing the news that the Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich Face Cream with Ceramides formula had been altered – and not for the better.
“This was my favorite moisturizer ever!” she said.
Aside from not being a big fan of the face buy’s new fragrance, she was underwhelmed with the less-than-glowing reviews and needed to find another way to get her glow-up.
“I decided not to try it because it sounded so disappointing,” she said.
While the $35 Glossier moisturizer is described as offering a dewy look while reinforcing the skin’s moisture barrier, she wasn’t willing to give it a chance.
Perhaps the skincare silver lining is that she not only found another buy she liked better, but the price tag was also more palatable.
“I tried the Tower 28 Moisturizer and really like it!” she said.
“It’s very moisturizing, yet doesn’t feel sticky or greasy, it’s balmy yet sinks into the skin quickly, and hasn’t made me breakout,” she added.
What made it more impressive was that it worked on her skin despite being “super acne-prone.”
She also found the texture to be thicker and less “slick.”
All she knows is that it still “sinks into the skin just fine.”
Available for $24 at Sephora, the Tower 28 SOS Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer is $11 less than the Glossier buy.
Made with a blend of four types of hyaluronic acid as well as ceramides, the moisturizer is specially formulated for those with sensitive skin.
It is described as plumping skin while soothing skin irritation.

She was also a fan of the Versed Moisturizer which she appreciated for its all-day staying power.
Others shared their own favorite beauty swaps as well as budget-friendly buys.
“I was a Neutrogena Hydro Boost Girl in the summer and ended up liking the Bliss Moisturizing Gel more!” said a user.
“If you’re open to drugstore moisturizers, I would recommend Vanicream in the tub. It’s an unglamorous plain Jane but does the job,” another Redditor commented.
