‘Negligent’ Miami Beach cop ignores deadly hit-and-run steps away from department’s HQ

Miami Beach police officer Edward Cavalie was near the scene and was informed by witnesses of the hit-and-run, but according to an internal affairs investigation launched on May 1, he refused to take action.
