Nice start to September, few showers, storms Friday
High pressure near the East Coast will slide farther east, resulting in a southerly flow of warm, summertime air, under partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will rise into the upper 80s.
A disturbance in the Upper Midwest will bring increasing clouds tonight into Friday, which will limit overnight lows to the mild 60s. A gradual increase in humidity will lead to scattered showers and storms ahead of trailing cold front later in the day.
Temperatures will make it to the mid-80s. Some showers and isolated will likely affect Football Friday Nite, primarily southeast of I-71, before the rain shifts east of the region after midnight.
The cold front will progress eastward, as a cool Canadian high pressure builds in over the weekend, providing mostly sunny skies and fall-like weather. Temperatures will range through the 60s during afternoon hours, then fall into the 40s later at night.
A gradual warm-up will bring seasonable weather early next week.
