Afghani value up 17.25 pct against USD in past year

KABUL, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- The value of the Afghan national currency afghani has risen 17.25 percent against the U.S. dollar compared to a year earlier, said Sadiqullah Khalid, first deputy head of Afghanistan's central bank, on Thursday.
