Leafs D Marshall Rifai signs 2-year extension

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Marshall Rifai, who made his NHL debut last season, signed a two-year extension through the 2026-27 season, the team announced Thursday.

The contract carries an annual average value of $775,000.

Rifai, 26, played in two games for the Maple Leafs in February, averaging 11:40 in ice time.
