WAYNE ROONEY rolled back the years as he netted a sublime free-kick against Celtic in a legends match.
A team of former Manchester United stars took on the Scottish side in a charity match at Old Trafford.

The now Plymouth manager curled his effort from 25 yards into the top left corner.
Fans were full of praise for the retired striker with plenty of them wanting him back in the team.
One posted: “That’s how you do it, I’ve never seen Bruno Fernandes score one before.”
A second wrote: “None of our players has scored a free kick goal since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2022 against Norwich. Shameless.”
A third commented: “Free agent, by the way, he never lost it.”
A fourth said: “Retired Rooney scores a free kick before Mbappe.”

During his career, Rooney scored a record 253 goals for the Red Devils in his 559 games in all competitions.
He joined the club in 2004 from Everton and then rejoined the Toffees in 2017.
Rooney then had stints with DC United and Derby County before ending his playing career.
Earlier in the day, Rooney had admitted that he would have liked to have played for Celtic during his career.
He told Celtic’s club media: “Celtic has always been a team I have followed and wanted to win.
“Unfortunately, I did not get the opportunity to play for Celtic. I would have liked too.
“But I did not work out and I did not get that chance.”
