Former senior bureaucrat and Trinamool Rajya Sabha MP Jawhar Sircar has expressed his desire to resign from his MP post and quit politics. In a letter to Mamata Banerjee, he cited corruption in the party and the RG Kar incident as reasons for his decision. Sircar had previously raised concerns about corruption in 2022.
