1 dead, 1 critical after Austin shooting
One man was killed and another critically injured after a shooting in Austin early Sunday, police said.
The men, 25 and 34, were in the 4600 block of West Monroe Street around 1:30 a.m. when someone fired shots, then fled, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The 25-year-old was shot in the back and pronounced dead on the scene. The other man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
No one is in custody and detectives are investigating.
