Pennsylvania Will March for Life on Monday, September 23 to Protest Abortion
As we prepare for our 4th annual Pennsylvania March for Life, you may be asking – why? What does walking around a building actually do?
Well, we’re glad you asked. The March for Life started in Washington, D.C. the year that the disastrous, pro-abortion (and recently overturned!) Roe v. Wade decision was made. It has seen hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers from across the country participate and more recently, has helped facilitate more local marches in several states.
Throughout the decades, marches for life have made a powerful statement – to see the Capitol mall, or the front steps of our State Capitol in Harrisburg filled with the pro-life community, from all different stages and areas of life, is hard to ignore.
We’ve had longtime legislators and reporters remark to us that they can hardly remember a larger gathering for any reason in Harrisburg. One year, legislators even heard our marchers chanting while they were debating on the State House floor!

For thousands of Pennsylvanians to gather from across the Commonwealth all to march, it shows our lawmakers that the pro-life cause cannot, must not, be ignored.
Beyond the public message we send, the Pennsylvania March for Life is just as much for the pro-life community as it is for our lawmakers. It can be discouraging to understand the tragedy of abortion, while abortion rates climb and some loud voices in our culture seem to celebrate it. At the march, we will hear pro-life testimonies, and you will leave encouraged and invigorated for the cause.
You are not alone.
We are in this together, fighting together, and marching together.
So let’s make the 2024 Pennsylvania March for Life the biggest yet! Join us at the Capitol steps in Harrisburg on Monday, September 23rd. Find more details at Pa.MarchforLife.org. Bring friends, family, neighbors – anyone you can! This event is also a great time for people who are on the fence to get a taste of the pro-life community!
