Man injured in early morning shooting in east Topeka

TOPEKA (KSNT) - A man was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries after a reported shooting in east Topeka on Wednesday.

Around 1 a.m., the Topeka Police Department (TPD) responded to reports of a shooting in the 2300 block of Southeast Bellview. According to the TPD, officers found a man with non-life-threatening injuries who was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The TPD said this is an ongoing investigation.
