Maple Leafs sign D Jani Hakanpaa to 1-year deal

The Toronto Maple Leafs signed defenseman Jani Hakanpaa to a one-year deal worth $1.47 million on Wednesday.

Hakanpaa, 32, recorded 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) in 64 games with the Dallas Stars during the 2023-24 season.
