0

1. 8/71 vs England, Brisbane, 1994

After being given a humongous target of 508 in the final innings, England’s batting order absolutely crumbled in front of Warne who ended up taking his career-best figures. The magnificent 8-wicket haul helped Australia in winning the match comprehensively by 184 runs.

2. 7/23 vs Pakistan, Brisbane, 1995

Australia posted a great total of 463 in the first innings before Warne bamboozled the Pakistan batting order with an incredible 7-wicket haul that massively helped the Aussies in bowling out the visitors for only 97 runs. Australia would give Pakistan the follow-on and Warne would pick up another 4 wickets in the second innings as Pakistan got bowled out for 240 runs and lost the match by an innings and 126 runs.

3. 7/52 vs West Indies, Melbourne, 1992

Australia got bundled out for only 196 runs in the second innings and set up a target of 359 for West Indies in the final innings. Warne again proved to be crucial for the Aussies as his magnificent 7-wicket haul hugely helped the hosts in bowling out the Windies for 219 runs and win the Test match by a 139-run margin.

4. 7/56 vs South Africa, Sydney, 1994

The leg-spinner’s tremendous 7-wicket haul helped the Aussies bowl out the Proteas for only 167 runs in the first innings. The rest of the Test match also turned out to be quite a low-scoring affair as the highest score of the match was Australia’s 292 in their first innings. The visitors were only able to set a target of 117 for the hosts, however, against all odds, they ended up bowling out Australia for only 111 runs to win the match by 5 runs.

5. 7/94 vs Pakistan, Colombo, 2002

A brilliant century from Ricky Ponting helped Australia post a huge total of 467 runs in the first innings before Warne proved to be too good for Pakistan’s batting order and took a 7-wicket haul which saw Pakistan get bowled out for 279 runs. Warne would prove to be crucial for the Aussies in the final innings as well by taking 4 more wickets which helped them bowl out Pakistan for 279 runs, 41 runs short of the 316-run target.
